What is a Pre-Authorized Debit plan and how do I set this up with TD Insurance?

The Pre-Authorized Debit (PAD) Plan offers you the option of paying your premium through pre-authorized monthly withdrawals directly from your bank account. If you choose this option, note that your first policy term premium will be paid over 11 equal installments. Monthly installment fees will apply. Upon subsequent renewals, your premiums will be taken one month in advance, over 12 equal installments. You can also choose to pay in full via pre-authorized debit.

To benefit from our Pre-Authorized Debit (PAD) Plan, please provide us with the following information which can be found on a cheque for the corresponding bank account, or from a direct deposit/pre-authorized debit form from your banking institution:

  • your bank's transit number,
  • the financial institution number,
  • your account number.
