What information do I need to report an auto claim to TD Insurance?
To open an auto claim you will need to have your policy number and the date of the accident or loss. We also require the year, make and model of your vehicle.
If possible, have the following handy. This will help to avoid any delays in starting and ultimately settling your claim:
- Names, phone numbers, addresses, contact information of all occupants and witnesses
- Company name, policy number for other insurance companies
- Vehicle information for all vehicles involved including make/model, license plate number and vehicle serial number
- If emergency services attended the scene: police report number, officer name and badge number
Your assigned Claims Advisor will provide you with any other information that may be required to resolve your claim. If you have other questions, you may find some helpful answers by visiting our 'Frequently Asked Questions About Car Claims article'
