In general, there is a difference between leaving your home "unoccupied" and leaving it "vacant." Vacant means that you don’t intend to return. If you are vacating your home, you must contact us immediately. If you are going on vacation, then your home is considered to be unoccupied. You must then take the precautions that are listed in your policy conditions. Different policies may also require that you contact us if your home will be unoccupied for a given amount of time.
